WELCOME TO HSO RACING TEAM

HSO Racing Team powered by MJM is an independent Irish motorcycle racing team competing in the prestigious British Superbike Championship, campaigning in the RokitOff BMW F900R Cup with former MotoGP and British Superbike race winner James Ellison.

Founded by Irish entrepreneur Holly Smyth alongside James Ellison, the team's journey began in late 2023 with a shared ambition to return to the highest level of British motorcycle racing. That vision became reality in early 2024, initially entering the championship as a wildcard outfit before making appearances at Navarra Superbike round and Donington Park Superbike round.

Following strong performances, the team secured a full-time position within the British Superbike Championship before establishing HSO Racing Team as an independent operation in late 2024. Since then, the team has continued to grow both on and off the circuit.

Alongside competing at the highest level, HSO Racing Team is committed to developing the next generation of talent. By supporting emerging riders through wildcard opportunities and integrating them into our racing programme, we have helped several competitors progress to full-time rides within the British Superbike Championship. With James Ellison's decades of experience at the pinnacle of motorcycle racing, the team provides invaluable mentorship, technical knowledge and rider development that extends far beyond race weekends.

For the 2026 season, we are proud to begin an exciting new chapter as HSO Racing Team powered by MJM. Backed by long-time friends and supporters of James, Mark and Jena McDonald, MJM Racing has joined the project with a shared commitment to investing in the team's future and supporting our continued growth within the championship.

As we continue to build our presence in British motorcycle racing, our focus remains the same: competing professionally, developing talent, and creating opportunities for riders to progress to the very highest level of the sport.
